First Chatham Bank opened for business on January 23, 2002 and became the first locally owned full service commercial bank chartered in Chatham County since 1989. The majority of financial institutions in Chatham County have been acquired by large out-of-state and out-of-area bank holding companies. This has resulted in the need and demand for more personalized service backed by local decision making by bankers you know and bankers who know you. First Chatham Bank was organized by 18 local business and community leaders to meet that need. We are committed to traditional banking backed by innovative products supported by a high level of personal service.
The senior management team of First Chatham Bank has over 200 years of banking experience, most of it in Chatham County.
Stephen S. Green serves as Chairman of FCB Financial Corp., the Bank's Holding Company. A founding organizer of First Chatham Bank, he is President and CEO of Stephen Green Properties, a commercial real estate investment and development company in Savannah.
Benny H. Curl serves as the Bank's Chairman. A founding organizer of First Chatham Bank, he is the Chief Financial Officer of Byrd Cookie Company in Savannah.
Brian R. Foster serves as the Bank's President and Chief Executive Officer. He has held numerous senior management positions during his 40-year banking career, including president of a former Savannah bank.
William M. Austin, Jr. serves as the Bank's Chief Operating Officer. He has over 45 years experience in personnel and operations with 35 years experience in Chatham County.
Larry M. Austin serves as the Bank's Chief Financial Officer. He has over 26 years of corporate financial experience.
Kenneth R. Farrell serves as Chief Credit Officer as well as President of First Glynn Bank. He has over 35 years of experience in the banking industry.
O. Kenneth Gaylord, III serves as the Bank's Senior Lending Officer. He has over 19 years of commercial lending experience.
Sharon Spradley serves as the Bank's Retail Banking Service Manager. She has over 20 years of retail banking experience.
